How we measure research impact is as important as achieving it

Large-scale interdisciplinary research programmes emerging from initiatives like the Global Challenges Research Fund pose different challenges in measuring impact than traditional research grants. Dr Helen Coskeran explains understanding how and why research has created change is central to such programmes.
